At Earth Skills Camp we take to the forest and the garden to learn, be inspired, and grow. This camp will deepen your child’s connection to nature and foster a growing awareness of the earth as they learn skills in edible and medicinal plant wisdom, herbal remedies, natural food preparation, tracking, basketry, pottery, bird language, shelter building, and much more. Campers will focus on inner ecology, earth ecology and community ecology. Daily adventures will include tuning into our bio-region by remembering ways to communicate with what is around us: birds, plants and trees, animals, human ecology, and how we can deepen our relationship to this living web.
Earth Skills Camp is led by Lauren Barlag. She is a certified herbalist and yoga teacher who has completed study at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Currently she is studying alternative and holistic therapies as well as nature connection and education.
