Forest & Farm – A Summer Camp for Six to Eight-Year-Old Children
Nurture your child’s growing independence in a safe, engaging and peaceful setting while in the care of experienced Waldorf teachers. Your children will join Bill Cordray (current CWS 3rd Grade teacher) and Cathy Driscoll (CWS Kindergarten teacher) for a week of play, learning and exploration. Meshewa, our Indian Hill Early Childhood Campus, is surrounded by acres of forest, meadows and streams just waiting for childhood exploration. Our supporting neighbor, Turner Farm, provides the opportunity to learn and and laugh while engaging in the activities of a working farm.
Forest and farm activities will be integrated into every day. At Meshewa, activities will include nature hikes, stream exploration, field games, stories, artistic activities and water play. Turner Farm activities will include egg collecting, milking, feeding the animals, fishing, planting and tending the gardens. The week will wrap up with the treat of a horse-pulled wagon ride.
You supply lunch and a morning snack; we supply everything else. Your child will enjoy a great week of summer fun and learning in a beautiful setting under the guidance of experienced Waldorf teachers.
Come enjoy the summer at Meshewa!
