Because CWS is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) (3) non-profit, non-partisan educational organization, in addition to tax-deductable cash donations there are numerous other tax-advantaged ways to support our work. Here are a few of them:
- Gifts of Appreciated Securities
- Remember CWS in your will
- Gifts of Life Insurance
The Cincinnati Waldorf School’s annual Children’s Campaign raises money to support the school’s operating budget. From tuition assistance to faculty support, classroom materials to salaries and benefits, the success of this fund drive ensures our ability to continue providing a quality Waldorf education to our students. CWS strives to achieve 100% participation from the school’s Board of Trustees, Faculty and parents and appreciates all donations from friends and supporters. To support the CWS Children’s Campaign, please donate now!
Annual Spring Gala
CWS is proud to host an annual Spring Gala with exciting live and silent auctions, local live entertainment, and spectacular food and drinks! Our parent volunteers strive before, during and after to support the efforts necessary to make this event so special. Our next Gala is Saturday, March 22, 2014. To get involved, donate to our auctions or simply attend this fabulous event, please contact Christine Masur.
The Parent Association offers many simple, effective ways to help raise money for CWS. From saving Boxtops to ordering magazine subscriptions, holiday greenery and student artwork. The CWS Parent Association has many committees that volunteer their time to organize the annual Holiday Faire & May Faire.
The Parent Association also runs the Scrip Card program. This program lets you purchase pre-paid cards for area merchants, with a percentage going to benefit the school. There is no additional cost to you. For more information about our Scrip program, please contact our PA Scrip Coordinator.
The Cincinnati Waldorf School’s Board of Trustees’ responsibilities include providing support and aid to the faculty in implementing a Waldorf educational program, to authorize major business and financial decisions, to appoint chairs and members of standing committees and to adopt the budget for the Cincinnati Waldorf School. CWS’ Board of Trustees are a diverse group of people from inside and outside of the school community.
The CWS has needs both great and small. If you are able to make any of these wishes come true for our school, please contact the school’s Office Manager. Current wish list items include services needed to help us ready our new school building in Mariemont for its opening in August, 2013:
- Plumbing work
- Electrical work
- General repair
- Gardening work
