Pentathlon

The pentathlon is the culmination of the Waldorf Grade Five curriculum highlighting ancient civilizations. Students practice their skills in long jump, javelin, discus, wrestling, and long run all year long and then travel to a nearby Waldorf school where they compete against other Waldorf Grade Five students from surrounding states in each of these events. Athletes are judged on strength and speed as well as grace and beauty. The pentathlon is a Waldorf student favorite – a memorable journey for every Grade Five student!
