About the event
The Language and Culture Committee would like to invite CWS families to join in our second annual El Día de Los Muertos celebration! This Latin American tradition of life and death is traditionally celebrated from October 31st- November 2nd each year. In many countries in Latin America and in many parts of the United States, home altars called ofrendas are made to celebrate loved ones who have died. In Guatemala, kites called barriletes are made and flown to honor the dead.
Parents and friends are invited to pick up their student at the regular dismissal time at the end of the school day and make their way to the Dia de Los Muertos celebration located in the Lower School Bowl.
