About the event

Foundation Studies, hosted by CWS, is a 128-hour coursework of anthroposophical studies, focusing primarily on the spiritual-scientific teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf education. It is an orientation for those interested in Waldorf education, a prelude to any Waldorf teacher training program, and an initiation into practical and spiritual self-development. We will be studying Rudolf Steiner's lecture cycle, Balance in Teaching, which offers beautiful insights into Waldorf pedagogy, the varying propensities of child development, and how we can meet them with balancing/healing measures. Alongside our study, we will also extract some inner development exercises from a little pink book called Anthroposophy in Everyday Life. We will meet four Saturdays from 10 AM - 4 PM: September 10, October 8, November 12, December 10The cost of each session is $30. Each session includes facilitated study, beautiful artistic work, and opportunity for sharing food and conversation.  If you have any questions, or are budding with interest, please write to adampetersen@cincinnatiwaldorfschool.org. We recommend this coursework especially for those who are new to Waldorf education and to our community.
