STUDENT LIFE AT CWS
Beginning in Fifth Grade, Cincinnati Waldorf School students have the privilege to participate in interscholastic athletics. Currently, our teams include co-ed soccer, girls volleyball, and girls and boys basketball and cross country. Participating on school athletic teams gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills of social grace and sportsmanship as they compete against peers from other local schools. Game officials and opposing coaches routinely comment on the quality of character of our CWS student-athletes. Over 90% of our sixth, seventh and eighth graders participate on an interscholastic sports team.
Student Council class representatives cultivate an attitude of service within the student body while learning to coordinate effectively amongst themselves, working with the faculty of our school, and supporting various charitable organizations.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
There are many opportunities for CWS students to explore a variety of interests during after-school hours. As more programming is offered each year, the students may elect to expand upon their physical, emotional, and or mental faculties beyond what they already receive in the classroom. Sports options include basketball, volleyball and soccer. Club options include chess, knitting, Spanish, Girls on the Run, and folk dancing. As we expand into our high school, students may choose to develop their own after-school activities based on common interests so that students may take ownership of their extracurricular pursuits
