Everybody's Dance

Let's dance in the new year together! Everybody's dance is January 17th, and we'd love to see all of you there! We enjoy accessible, joyful, and energetic community dancing in a warm, non-judgemental environment, open to all, and easy enough to enjoy whether it's your first time, or your 100th time dancing. We have live music by the Sweet Corn String Band, and traditional folk dances taught and led by Hazel Jodock. We request that children under the age of 13 be accompanied by a dancing adult. Suggest donation: $10 for adults, $5 for children.

Strategic Plan Work Continues

Last year, our school named five strategic plan goals:

1. Educate the Whole Child–Provide a comprehensive education that includes outdoor activities, a love for the earth, and a focus on the whole child. Prioritize culture and community building as part of the educational experience.

2. Support Faculty and Resources–Ensure faculty have the resources they need to do their job effectively. Foster career growth for young men and women and support their professional development.

3. Engage the Community–Build and maintain strong relations with the community, including parents, faculty, and students. Support and foster a diverse community and build connections where needed.

4. Embrace Technology–Use technology efficiently to support the Waldorf mission and help provide focus. Ensure children are prepared to operate effectively in the modern world while maintaining a connection to the earth and community.

5. Financial Stability–Maintain a budget in the black and ensure financial stability for the organization

With these five goals in hand, we are empowering a Strategic Plan Committee, comprised of parents/board members (Amie Duncan, Mark Evans, Josh Dorsey), teaching faculty (Stacy Gaston, Edith Fay, Tori Manship), and administrators (Dexter Simpson, Cat Toth, Kate Kelley). They will take these goals and create some action steps, dreams for our school in the future and how we plan to reach them. Please reach out to any of us if you have some thoughts to add to this vision.

Bring What You Can - Take What You Need

We invite you to the community room where you’ll find our brand new community driven Free-Market.  Here, you’ll find grocery staples, personal hygiene products, and more stocked by the CWS community!  This space will be ever-changing, with new items coming in regularly and a refrigerator for perishable items (coming soon)!

We encourage you, our community, to bring items to help stock the Free-Market, as well as take whatever you might need!
