CWS High School Scholarships!
CWS High School Scholarships are available!
The application window will be open from Monday 10/13-11/3 and is only open to current CWS 8th graders. 8th graders will receive their applications this Monday at school and the winners will be notified on 11/21/25.
EVERYBODY'S DANCE
All are welcome to join us for Everybody's Dance, tomorrow, Saturday, October 18th from 6-8pm at the CWS Gym! We do easy, high-spirited dances from Europe and America in an open, family-friendly environment. All ages, genders, and orientations warmly welcome, and no experience necessary! Live music will be provided by The Sweet Corn String Band, and Hazel Jodock, will teach and prompt the dances. For everyone's maximum enjoyment, we ask that all children under 13 be accompanied by an adult. Suggested donation: $10 for adults, $5 for children. Your support is greatly appreciated! Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle! If you can't make it this time, join us Nov. 15th for the next one. Let’s come together for a cozy evening of good food, warm company, and community spirit.
So far, we have six chili contestants, but there’s plenty of room for more! We’d love to have at least one chili per class to make this event even more flavorful.
Not a chili chef? No problem! There are lots of ways to participate:

🧀 Bring toppings or other donations
🪑 Help with setup or cleanup
🎉 Or simply come, enjoy, and support our wonderful PA and community!

✨CWS Walk-A-Thon! 👟

WOW! 4th grade is leading the charge, with 2nd and 6th grades not far behind. GO CWS!
We’re getting ready to lace up for our annual CWS Walk-A-Thon! This year, all funds raised will go directly toward our Annual Fund, helping us reach our $45,000 goal for the school year. (We’re currently at $10,477 — 23% of our goal!)
The Walk-A-Thon is a fun and active way for students to support their school. Each child is encouraged to ask friends, family, and neighbors to sponsor them for their participation in the event.
Ways to Raise Support:
Share about the Walk-A-Thon with friends, family, or neighbors this upcoming weekend — every bit helps!
Ask local businesses you frequent (coffee shop, yoga studio, favorite restaurant) if they’d like to sponsor your child or make a small donation in honor of the class.
Share the Walk-A-Thon on social media or in a family group chat with the donation link. It’s an easy way for loved ones to contribute from afar!

Lantern Walk - November 7th ✨
Families of children in NatureTots through 3rd Grade are invited to join us for Lantern Walk, a beloved tradition at the Cincinnati Waldorf School. Older siblings are welcome to attend, but parents should be prepared to supervise all children in attendance to preserve the reverent nature of this event. Full event details will be emailed to families soon.
It's helpful if families come prepared to sing during our walk! Fortunately, our Cincinnati Waldorf Singers have recorded our Lantern Walk songs so that you can listen and learn in advance of this event- listen HERE.

Appropriate clothing as we are still enjoying the outdoors
Gear for wet weather, like boots and rain coats
An extra change of clothes in case clothes get wet
Cough drops (the office has a very limited supply)
Student Parking
This year, our Administration and Faculty have designated a few parking spaces (in the back corner closest to the cemetery) for our High School students who drive themselves. We appreciate our more 'seasoned' drivers leaving these spaces open so that HS students can have a bit less stress on their morning commutes, knowing they will have a place to park. Our High School drivers, and their parents and teachers, appreciate your support!
