Fall '24 Preschool Admission Visit Day
Sibling Admission Visit Day will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 9:00am- 9:45am in the Woodland Preschool classroom. This is a special visit day reserved only for younger siblings of current CWS students, and children of faculty members who will be ready for Preschool in the fall of 2024. . Action Steps for Parents: 1. Please submit an online application for enrollment HERE. The application window for next school year will open in early November, 2023. 2. Sign up for your child's visit HERE Spots are limited, so please sign up quickly! Once you have signed your child up for the visit, Karen will contact you with further details. Registration is now open for the 2024 Spring term of NatureTots with Ms. Kyle!
These popular Parent & Child classes for children 16 months to 3 years provide an opportunity for young children and their parents or caregivers to come together in a joyful and nurturing environment where children are introduced to their first school experience in a safe and gentle way.
Classes are offered Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 11:00am, and on Mondays and Fridays from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, at the CWS lower school campus, located at 6743 Chestnut Street in Mariemont.

Don't just learn about the Special Subjects at CWS ... experience them for yourself!
A defining aspect of Waldorf education is the abundant Special Subject curriculum. CWS Special Subjects include Spanish, Mandarin, Eurythmy, Handwork, Woodworking, Choral Music, Instrumental Music, Gardening, Modeling, and Games/PE.
During this interactive presentation, you will experience Eurythmy with Ms. Kimball, Mandarin with Ms. Wang, and Handwork with Ms. Arthur. Enrollment Director Karen Crick will also provide a brief overview of the Special Subjects and their importance in Waldorf education.

Join Us for Lantern Walk 11/10
The CWS Lantern Walk is coming up! This event, intended for students in preschool through Grade 3 and their families, is a reverent celebration of kindness and inner light. It will take place on Friday, November 10th at 6pm in the Lower School Bowl.
If you want to practice the songs we will all be singing, check out our CWS Community Song Book and/or join Mr. Petersen for Community Singing on Fridays at 8:30am in the Community Room!
Order Veggies from Rose Hill Farm, and Pick Up at CWS!
We are so excited to be partnering with Rose Hill Farm to source local, biodynamically grown produce for our school lunch program — and provide our families easy access to healthy, nutritious, beautiful veggies grown by David Chal, a longtime friend and CWS sponsor (and brother to Katie, Sweet Pea Preschool Assistant). You can now order produce online from Rose Hill Farm and pick up your order in the grassy area in front of the school on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:15. Please note that you must walk up to get your order — orders will not be delivered via the car line.
You can still shop from a lovely selection of fall produce, including squash, radishes, ginger, beets, turnips, greens, and more! Place your order online by EOD Monday to pick up on Wednesday. Select "Pick up at CWS" during check-out. The first pick up date will be 11/8.

50% of all sales go directly to the CWS Parent Association to support its mission and fund parent education, faculty appreciation, and other community initiatives. Holiday orders ship starting mid-November, in the order they are received. All orders placed by December 1st, will arrive in time for gift giving for the holiday season!
Student Council Canned Food Drive for MEAC!
Please donate in date cans of hearty soups, canned chili, canned spaghetti, canned fruits and vegetables for our friends at MEAC (Madisonville Education Assistance Center).
CWHS Student Council and our middle school SAC (Social Action Committee) are collecting food for MEAC's food pantry. CWHS juniors and seniors will take our first collection over and volunteer some hours on Oct 25, and we will continue to collect for another delivery closer to winter break.

CWS Ski Club: 30% Off Club Passes Ends 11/5!!
The Waldorf Ski/Board club is a loosely formed club of enthusiasts, family, friends and kids. We will have 4-5 Wednesday or Thursday evenings in Jan/Feb when we will carpool from school and finish our day at the slopes.
Club pass deadline is November 5, 2023 ( 30% off regular price). From November 5- December 1st, the discount will be 20% off, and after December 1st, passes will be 10% off regular price. All club passes include free introductory lessons.
As a club member, you can purchase 3 week skiing or boarding beginners group lessons. This year, club racing is an exciting new option. Please contact Kirana Rao at 513-377-7495 if you are interested in club racing or club group lessons.
