Did you miss the State of the School? Follow this link to watch a recording and learn more about the things to come for our school.

Germs: We encourage our families to keep unwell students home if they are experiencing symptoms of sickness; runny noses, coughs, aches etc. This ensures a healthy environment for all our students and faculty. Let them rest and heal before returning. Remind your students to wash their hands, drink fluids, rest and eat nutritious foods.

School Lunches: Will your child be absent?  Don't forget to email Chef Lex if you placed an order for school lunch but your child is absent. This will help reduce waste and save you money! Email Chef Lex at alexisdunn53@gmail.com

Sweetness Spotted! ❤️

A student gave Ms. Colleen an amazing, handmade gift ... the 2nd graders snuggled up with their 6th grade buddies for a pajama day ... the 7th graders were spotted wet felting hearts ... three Olivers came to the office ... preschoolers helped Ms. Carmy rake leaves ... and two friends shared a swing. All sooo sweet!

Go Waldorf Wolves!!!!

The 5th Grade girls and boys basketball teams have been having so much fun and have shown up to support each other!

Also a BIG CONGRATS to the 5th Grade Boys Team who are UNDEFEATED with just two games and their tournament left 👏🏽

The Community Room Is Moving to the After Care Room!

As you may (or may not) know, the current Community Room is in the process of becoming a classroom — and it promises to be a beauty! This means that starting after February Break, the Community Room will be transitioning (back) to the After Care room.

Please note that the community may utilize the After Care space from about 8-11:30am. We ask that you be particularly mindful of tidying up after yourself because this space is continuing to be utilized for After Care. We will also be asking visitors to sign-in so that we get a better sense of how this space is being utilized.

We look forward to seeing you! As always, ALL are welcome 💜

Join Foundation Studies this Spring!

Foundation Studies, hosted by the Cincinnati Waldorf School, is a 128-hour coursework of anthroposophical studies, focusing primarily on the spiritual-scientific philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf education. It is at once an orientation for those interested in Waldorf education, a prelude to any Waldorf teacher training program, as well as an initiation into practical and spiritual self-development.

Come Spring, we will be taking up Rudolf Steiner's lecture cycle, The Child's Changing Consciousness. This is a seminal series given to a multi-national audience of Waldorf educators and enthusiasts four years after the opening of the first school in Stuttgart, Germany. The text is rich with indications for child development and pedagogy, primarily in early childhood and the grade school years.

Please write with questions or interest to adampetersen@cincinnatiwaldorfschool.org.
