There's a large table and chairs, a couch, toys and a play area for littles, and a coffee and tea station. And we want you to know that you are always welcome in the Community Room! A big thank you to Casey Gries for our beautiful new sign to let you know you're in the right place! Weekly meetings will also be listed on the sign so you'll know what's happening in the Community Room each week. The only requirement for using the Community Room is to clean up after yourself and your children 🧹 We hope to see you there!
Dia de Los Muertos Celebration Friday 11/3
The Language and Culture Committee would like to invite CWS families to join in our second annual El Día de Los Muertos celebration. This Latin American tradition of life and death is traditionally celebrated from October 31st- November 2nd each year. In many countries in Latin America and in many parts of the United States, home altars called ofrendas are made to celebrate loved ones who have died. In Guatemala, kites called barriletes are made and flown to honor the dead.
So, please join us for this joyous after school celebration. Parents and friends are invited to pick up their student at the regular dismissal time at the end of the school day and make their way to the Dia de Los Muertos celebration located in the Lower School Bowl.
Come Experience the Specials on 11/8
When: Wednesday, Nov. 8th, 6:30-8pm
Where: CWS Lower School Music Room
