Please Complete Student Forms ASAP

A big thank you to families for diligently completing student forms. If you have not yet completed forms for your student, please take a moment to do so this weekend.

Student forms are located in your family portal. From the school website, click Family Portal. Log in, then select Webforms from the menu on the left.

*We would ask for ALL families to please log into your family portal review to confirm your answers to the following questions and re-sign the General Liability Release Form.

  1. My child may go on short trips in the neighborhood with school staff during class time. Answering yes to this question gives permission for your student to walk with the teacher and class when they go on nature walks around the school, to the park, the creek, to get ice cream etc. Answering no will state that you do not give them permission to participate in these activities with the class.

2. My student can be included in photographs or recordings taken during school activities (plays, class projects, field trips, festival events, class field trips, happenings around the school etc) and be included in Waldorf Weekly newsletters, events shared with class families, print, video, CWS social media posts or open house, school marketing, public relations purposes. Students will never be named in a photo without explicit permission from parent or guardian. CWS enjoys capturing moments of the students engaged in the beautiful curriculum Waldorf education offers and we like to feature these in communications such as the Waldorf Weekly newsletter to CWS families or on our school social media or marketing pages. Answering yes will include your student in photos taken during the school year. Answering no, we will not include your student in any photos individual or group pictures taken.

Check Out This Year's Parent Education Events

CWS is collaborating with our wonderful Parent Association to provide a variety of Parent Education events and opportunities throughout the year. These events are a great way to learn more about Waldorf education and the Waldorf curriculum and to engage in meaningful conversations and learning with other CWS parents. (*Big thanks to Casey Gries for making this beautiful flyer!)

Give Yourself the Gift of Foundation Studies

Another great opportunity to deepen your understanding of Waldorf education is to enroll in Foundation Studies! Foundation Studies includes reading and discussion as well as an opportunity to experience various aspects of Waldorf education through practices like print-making, clay modeling, form drawing, and eurythmy.

Enrolling in Foundation Studies can greatly enrich your Waldorf journey and is also a wonderful gift to yourself and your own self-development!

Community Singing Resumes Friday, September 1st!

Everyone is welcome to join choral music teacher Adam Petersen on Friday mornings from 8:30 to 9:15 AM in the Community room for Community Singing! This is a wonderful opportunity to cultivate our community, to make new connections, and to share in the songs of our school's festivals and our students' curriculum. No musical experience necessary.
