Reminders:
Grades 5 - 8 Ski Trip has been rescheduled for February 29th.
The germs are out in force this season. We encourage our families to keep unwell students home if they are experiencing symptoms of sickness; runny noses, coughs, aches etc. This ensures a healthy environment for all our students and faculty. Let them rest and heal before returning. Remind your students to wash their hands, drink fluids, rest and eat nutritious foods.
School Lunches: Will your child be absent? Don't forget to email Chef Lex if you placed an order for school lunch but your child is absent. This will help reduce waste and save you money! Email Chef Lex at alexisdunn53@gmail.com
Gear Swap Donations Accepted Anytime! The PA Gear Swap accepts donations all year round! Accepted items include boots, coats, snow pants, layering pieces (i.e. long underwear), and rain gear. Donations can be placed in the bin under the table in the Community Room.

State of the School
Monday, Jan. 29th, 6:00 - 7:30pm in the Gym
This is an opportunity to hear from Board Members and Administrative Faculty on the business and happenings of our amazing school. We will be dedicating a good chunk of the meeting covering the move of the high school to our main campus location.
Even though this all could sound pretty dry and boring, attendees of past State of the School presentations tend to find them very inspiring and heartwarming.
This is an adult only event. Babes in arms are always welcome. All parents/guardians at CWS/CWHS are invited to attend.

Join Us for Grandfriends Day! - Friday, February 16th
We are so excited to welcome our Grandfriends to CWS and show them some love on Friday, Feb. 16th! The schedule will be as follows:
Preschool & Kindergarten Grandfriends Day *Friday students only.
11:30 - 12:30
11:30-12pm: Classroom/Play Yard Visits
11:45-12:30pm: Photo Opportunity (Front Entryway)
Grades 1-8 Grandfriends Day
2:00 - 3:15pm
2-2:15pm: Welcome & Program (CWS Gym)
2:15-2:45: Classroom Visits for Grades 1-8
2:30-3:15: Photo Opportunity (Front Entryway)
Grandfriends visiting children in Preschool and Kindergarten who have siblings in grades 1-8 are welcome to grab lunch together off campus and return in time for the 2pm grades presentation. (Suggestions for nearby restaurants include Madison Place, National Exemplar, Dilly Deli, Frisch's, Chipotle, Mac's Pizza, etc.)

This workshop will focus on how to make a doable plan to target life skills at home and in the community to increase independence. Great for parents of children in the upper grades and high school.
St. Gertrude Track & Field Season is Open for Enrollment!
Think your child might enjoy Track & Field this spring? St. Gertrude has a long-standing, quality program open to all fitness and experience levels. This program focuses on the development of athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Instruction is provided by dedicated coaches in areas of running, jumping, and throwing.
